# Puzzle: always left

### How does the exhibit work?

The carpet is a maze. Follow the instructions on the carpet to escape from the maze.

### What is the science behind it?

This is no ordinary maze. You can’t go up every side. There is a rule you have to follow: you can only turn left. We call a maze like this a logic maze.

You take a good look around, you use the information you have and you solve it. You think about it logically.

This is something that you also need to be able to do to pass a maths test, for example.

**Thinking logically with logic mazes**

There are other kinds of logic mazes, too, like this one here. Start at IN and try to reach OUT by counting from 1 to 10. You can’t move diagonally.

Would you like to try another one? Then go along to Puzzle: pattern.
